Thanks. Wish I could turn off the IR LEDs when plugged in and using the PIR for motion detection. They stay on constantly which is not needed...

I prefer using the PIR vs activity zones because it has longer range the the IR emitters at night. Is there a way to do this in settings? Or is using activity zones the only option when plugged in?

When plugged in, the motion detection is via PIR sensing and pixel detection with activity zones. But if you don't set up any zones, you will get the full field of detection.

The IR illuminators are totally independent from the PIR motion sensors though

I've seen a few reports of this but my IR illuminators only come on when it's dark. The Pro 2 camera is powered full time. The PIR is always used for motion detection whether plugged in or now. The IR illuminators are only for illumination. The play no part in detection

The IR illuminators should only turn on if 1) Night Vision is enabled, 2) motion is detected and/or 3) CVR is enabled.
