topic Night vision completely stopped working on one of my cameras. IR lights do not come on at all. in Arlo Pro 2

Arlo Pro 2 running the latest firmware. I noticed a few months back that the camera looked super bright and washed out during the day. If I recall correctly, it was activating the IR night vision lights during daylight and causing this. I've since taken the camera down, pulled the battery, recharged it, removed it from the Arlo app's devices and re-synced it, etc.

Now, the IR lights simply don't come at all under any circumstances.

I've gone into the settings and toggled night vision on and off. No effect.

I also note that when I've tried to remove it and re-sync it, the base recognizes it as a previously connected device (i.e., it is recognized under the name I'd previously given it). Am I missing some way to completely reset it so that it connects as a totally novel device?

Any help, troubleshooting tips, etc., would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a loss.

The night vision LEDs should not turn on during daylight viewing, they will automatically when light levels are low but only if the night vision is enabled.

Having a washed out picture during the day is likely due to the camera video brightness setting set to high, normally set to 0 or 1 on the slider, any higher causing the washed out picture for a sunny day.

If the camera was faulty and the IR LEDs were active continuously then they may have eventually died.

Placing the camera in a dark room or cupboard then live stream camera the red LEDs should show illuminated and you should get a grey picture of the inside.

One trap is that you need the camera to be in the dark, armed and to have been motion triggered or live streaming for the LEDs to be turned on.
