I took an Arlo Pro 2 camera offline from an existing account because it stopped working. I could not reinstate it. The camera has new batteries but doesn't light up at all at any point during the "add a camera" process. At one point, I get the message: “Looking for your Arlo Camera. Searching for any available Arlo devices. This may take several minutes.” But that message never changes or goes away. I found nothing about this problem in the manual. How can I bring my camera back to life? Will I have to re-sync it with the base station?

My camera is a VMC 3030. I bought my cameras and base station from Sams Club & didn't get a charger cable, except the one that plugs into the wall and is used with AC-powered cameras. This unit is battery powered (takes 4 lithium batteries).

When I visited this site: https://www.manua.ls/arlo/vmc3030/manual ... it indicated that the VMC3030 is the Arlo Pro 2. I would like to verify the accuracy of that. And I did try adding the camera via the Arlo website but that didn't work either. In troubleshooting this problem, what are the possible reasons that none of the lights on a camera would turn on?

Success at last! It appears the problem was dead batteries, even though they were never-used Eveready batteries. So I bought new ones today, followed the steps you indicated & now the camera works perfectly. Thank you so much for your help!

The batteries may not have been dead. You could test them with a voltmeter - they should show ~3.2v. However, a common issue is that not all batteries are the same dimensions. A slightly larger one may get stuck down when pushed into the slot. Always lightly place them in their slots and let the battery door do the pushing.
