    <description>&lt;P&gt;Is there any way to disable firmware updates? I still remember losing like 80% bit rate on one of the previous firmware upgrades and I'd rather not lose more. As it is, I can barely see anything on recorded videos.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;No, you don’t have any control over the camera or Base station firmware updates.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can stall the mobile app updates but unlikely they are responsible for poor digital compression rates from the camera.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I recall reading that purchasing a subscription plan will result in improved video quality, but it’s unclear if it is anything significant.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
