PIR sensors trigger when they detect changes in the amount of IR reaching them. Ambient temp can affect the sensitivity (in either direction). For instance, if the ambient is near skin temperature (about 91 degrees), then it will be harder for the camera to detect people. Shadows seem to trigger my cameras more when it's hot.

I guess if the cameras are in the sun, then the cameras might overheat - no idea what the effects of that would be. Most of the outdoor camera datasheets spec the max temperation at 113F.

I tried cleaning outside, changing its rechargeable original block battery, readjusting physically, etc. I see nothing that should cause to trigger. I lowered the motion sensitivity for now, but it might be too low. Or is it just me?

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. 🙂
