I just wanted to share my recent experience with one of my VMB4000r3 Base stations going offline today.

I noted today that the base station middle LED (internet) was showing amber. Check of the app said the Base was indeed offline.

Steps tried:
1. Power cycle the base, no good.
2. Check of Ethernet cables, unplugged and replug, no good.
3. Checked internet connection speed etc, second base still working fine.
4. Rebooted router modem anyway, still no good.
5. Factory reset the base station using paper clip, hold for 10, 12, 20sec, reset method not working.

Conclusion:
Base station must be faulty.

Oh, almost forgot.

6. Removed and re-added base station from account, base station is back online, working again.

How, What, Why changed?

I think I saved myself some money.
