Do I have to have a subscription? Right now I pay 9.99 for Arlo smart. It’s not very smart, it tells me I have a vehicle in my back yard and I have. 6 ft privacy fence, a vehicle wasn’t in my backyard.

If you have more than 5 cameras, then the answer would be yes. Assuming 5 or fewer Pro /Pro 2 cameras, the answer could be no.

Pro 3/Pro 4/Ultra/Essential cameras need a subscription to get any cloud storage.

Assuming Pro/Pro 2 cameras, your retention would drop to 7 days.

Cloud activity zones are also part of the subscription, so any cameras that require activity zones would need to be AC powered.

I have exactly 5 cameras and I can’t figure out how to unsubscribe.
