What are the notifications listed as? "All other Motion" Do you have activity zones enabled?

I have tried various activity zones, but shadows activate the recording

Just to double check, do you have the "All other Motion" checked/ON?

Have you tried to remove the camera from the active list and re add it under Settings > Smart Notifications?
