If you are talking about battery life with CVR...

CVR requires the camera to be connected to AC power.

As a PS...

when put in LIVE view/ Record, the cameras will time out in less than 30 mins... this is to prevent the battery from going dead if left on accidentally.

If you constantly use the camera ( high level of recording ) in a high traffic area, you can wipe out the battery in a couple days
