Bad Ethernet Port? Internet light stays blanks and won't connect to internet.

Is there such thing as a bad ethernet port on the Base Station? I have tried multiple cables (that have worked on other devices), and cannot get the internet light to light up (amber or green). The Internet light stays blank, and will not connect to internet. I have unplugged all, done a factory reset, restarted modem...and still no lights (though it lights up momentarily when remove power then add). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

They can fail. But it might also be the switch port on the router, so maybe try a different one there.
