&lt;P&gt;Arlo says you can do this either way.&amp;nbsp; If the battery is inserted, then of course the camera will continue to work if the power fails.&amp;nbsp; But if that is not a concern, then you can just take the battery out.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you live in a very cold climate, you probably should remove the battery in the winter, because the camera will run at a lower temp w/o the battery.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
