&lt;P&gt;As and added info... you can d turn off the camera in settings under the device ( device on/off ) but the savings in power over disarmed is so small that it's just easier to disarm.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The main reason for turning off camera in settings is a privacy mode that only the primary account holder can turn it back on. ( shared users can not )&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Easiest way is to set the mode to “Disarmed”.&lt;BR /&gt;For longer time such as storage, remove batteries from all cameras and unplug the base station.</description>

&lt;P&gt;Just want to add that simply unplugging the base (while leaving the cameras powered) is a bad idea.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The cameras will start actively looking for the base, and that will result in the camera batteries being drained fairly quickly.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
