Syncing cameras when setting up Arlo Smart Home 2 HD 100% wirefree camera kit

I have the green power light on the base unit and a green internet light. I am pressing the sync button for two seconds but no green sync light comes on the base unit - please help.

To sync the cameras to the base unit bring the cameras close to the base station. One at a time, press the sync button on the base station immediately followed by pressing the sync button on the camera you are trying to sync. It will take a few seconds for the two to sync and when each camera is synced the LED on the base station will turn to green. follow the syncing process for each camera.

DO NOT hold the base sync button for two seconds ....just a QUICK push !

-(in the original base ( not sure if still happens ) holding the sync button for 2 sec or more put the base into another mode, like a programing mode ( unknown really ) ...this may be still happening )
