What are the LED(s) on the base showing? Are you using a VPN? Have you tried a computer?

VMB4000 base station can't be found. Turned on port numbers 80 and 443 for my ISP.

I am almost ready to give up but just can't believe it can't be done. I've had my ISP turn on the port numbers 80 and 443 that Arlo told me I need open. I was sent a screen shot my ISP showing they were open yet Arlo base still did not work. I then tried buying my own router to have more control and was talked through how to set it for port-forwarding through port 80. It is still not working. Then finally Arlo mailed me a new base station and it is still not working. What am I missing here?

The lights are green green amber. I'm not currently using a VPN and I have tried doing it on my Mac Book Pro.

The amber Camera LED means the base needs to be claimed. Start by holding the reset button for >10 seconds, until the LEDs flash amber. Let the base reboot and try again.
