How old is the battery ? Possible sounds like a bad battery. Have you swapped the battery around to another camera?

Under a year then maybe possible warranty; contact Arlo support

Batteries fine, question is the ARLO site states under power no need for battery, so my question related to that system will not work solely on AC.

Yes, the camera SHOULD operate with or without the battery installed while on ac....

If it will not, other than the power source being used ( is it original with original cable ? ) , have no clue.
