Considering a decorative garden post, electrical or solar light post, or garden Shepard's hook. The latter would probably move in the wind but could be self installed. The first would require a handyman. The middle one an electrician and possibly HOA approval. The mount to a wooden decorative garden post might work best. The mount to a metal pole seems a little iffy. Thoughts?

Considering installing tall pole lamp in yard and mount Arlo from crossbar. Anyone tried?

Considering installing a tall pole lamp in the yard, mounting my Arlo from the crossbar and powering it from the pole outlet. Might have to get a WiFi extender to make it work. Has anyone tried this? Want to keep an eye on the cars.

Just remember the limitations of the Pro2...

1) trigger distance is a max of about 25 ft from camera

2) rez is usu not enough to read plates... you'll get car and model but that about it.

3) a wifi extender does NOTHING for range of camera as the base set up it's own wifi 2.4ghz system for cameras only.

( unless you want to relocated the base closer to camera )
