Have you checked the base station LEDs
Have you checked that the camera is charged?
Have you tried restarting the camera (remove/reinsert the batteries)?
Have you tried power-cycling the base?

Maybe you misunderstood the problem. How do I reboot or bring system back on line from a distance when one body is home.

You can't remotely reboot the base if it is offline already

Two future solutions;

1) a UPS to base for short time power outages

2) a WEMO unit that plugs into the ac outlet ( base power plugs into it ) and if there is wifi, the wemo outlet can be remotely toggled off-on ( which usu resets the base )
