&lt;P&gt;The camera works down to -20C, and will use the AC power whenever the cable is connected.&amp;nbsp; If the cable is always connected, you don't need the battery at all.&amp;nbsp; Though it is a good idea to keep it in the camera anyway, in case there is a power interruption (or if the cable comes loose).&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Not powered under 0 celcius? Losing some features?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When I opend up the outdoor power cabel I found these paper, please see attached.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Does these mean I’m depending on the battery below 0 degree celcius?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And when above the battery will charge up again?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So I will loose some features below 0 degree celcius?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I’m planning to install at my cabin where you have typical 0 to negative/minus 10 degree celcius in the winter.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;IMG src="http://community.arlo.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/424861iCE6DE145C9BB46AE/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999&amp;amp;whitelist-exif-data=Copyright" border="0" alt="543AAFAD-AFAA-4123-98B5-052937EB0D48.png" title="543AAFAD-AFAA-4123-98B5-052937EB0D48.png" /&gt;</description>
