&lt;P&gt;It will work either way.&amp;nbsp; Arlo suggests leaving the battery in - which will keep the camera running if there are any power glitches (including someone accidentally pulling out the cable or charger).&amp;nbsp; They say it won't over-charge if you do that.&lt;/P&gt;
