Auto activate play mode

I am trying to use my Arlo Pro 2 camera system to monitor my toddlers at night when they sleep. Is there a way that auto activate the "play mode" when it senses motion and then return back standby after seconds/minutes of no motion? I tried to keep the camera in "play mode" an entire night and it drained the battery on my camera. I am trying to avoid having to run direct power to the cameras since right now I have them mounted high on the wall to be able to see the entire room.

Any advice/comments/suggestions would be great.

I don't follow what you are trying to do.

You want the cameras to detect movement and then do what? Record? Send you a message? Something else?

What is "play mode"? It isn't something I can find in the manuals.
