Update Adobe Flash when trying to view our campers. Why receiving this message on other camera?

Each time we log in to view our campers, we are asked on each camera to update Adobe Flash....however, we have checked our computer to confirm that we have the updated version and we do. Why are we still getting this message on each camera?

Browsers no longer allow you to permamently enable flash for a site. The message is somewhat misleading, in that you will see it even if your flash plugin is up to date.

The workaround for enabling flash depends on the browser. Which one do you use?

These messages are signs that your browser is trying to protect you from "dangerous" content. Many browsers throw up the same dire warnings. You will have to find out how to give your browser permission to run Flash.

Some browser are more forgiving than others. Some will remember the settings, others require a fresh tweak every time you launch them.

It won't be long before Flash goes to the great code writer in the sky and just won't work. There are alternatives, but Arlo seems to be determined to sit on its hands and to keep Flash going until the last possible minute, sometime in 2020.

Here's what you do for various browsers:

Enable Adobe Flash Player for Safari

I have been getting that message on my computer since they changed/updated to the current mess they have now. (May/June 2019)

Here's how you get passed that:

After you click "View" on the first camera, in the upper left hand corner of your screen click on the icon that will appear that looks like a brick, click "allow", then click on the other cameras that you want to view.

Unfortunately, it doesn't remember your choice, so each time you log in to see your cameras, you gotta do this. It's a PIA., and I wish Arlo hadn't screwed with the way things used to be.

And yes, the image quality is still CRAP compared to what it used to be.
