      <description>&lt;P&gt;Take a look at VLC player ... it is free, and can edit and take snapshots during playback&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Works really well.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Another free option is AVIDemux (a basic video editor).&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Ideally you'd make sure the segment begins with an I-frame, which would eliminate the need to transcode it (which will reduce the quality).&lt;/P&gt;</description>
