Arlo Pro 2 Cameras- Insulating and Heating Outdoor Installations

Has anyone in the community looked into insulating the Arlo Pro 2 cameras (just the back half of the case containing the battery) with some sort of sleeve or outer case, using low wattage self regulating heat tape/cable?

I wonder if the silcone sleeves that are available could be wrapped in a single loop of heat trace cable that would keep the camera and battery above minus 4 F, even if the ambient temperature drops far below that. Sort of like heat tracing water pipe, but in this case heat tracing the camera. With the Arlo Pro solar charger hooked up too, the batteries would always accept charge in daylight, even if the ambient temperature was far below the operating limit of the batteries.

I wonder if this has been tried or what anybody thinks about this idea?

The skins won't help at all since at best they would just slow down cooling a small amount but the ultimate temp would still end up being ambient. A heating tape could be interesting depending on the temperature it achieves since too hot could damage the camera. Plugging the camera into AC power _may_ allow the camera to generate enough heat to keep running and charge the battery - you'd have to test.
