I'm trying to connect the base station through a Netgear GS308 switch/port extender. But it will not connect. There is internet to the switch. how do you connect the base station through the switch? is there some special settings you need to apply?

the power LED is green. the "internet" (or ehternet?) LED is off. the third LED (camera, I think?) is yellow. I have another base connected direclty to the router and it works fine. but router has no more open ports.

The "off" Internet LED means no connection to the router for an IP address. Could be the base, the extender, the Ethernet cable. I'd swap the bases around temporarily to see if anything changes.

BTW, the amber Camera LED means the base needs to be claimed but you need the Internet LED to be green first.
