Activity Zone - for what use?

Hello
I have my porch and want to create activities zone that I will not get notifications every time a car is going near my porch . But as I understand I can’t use the activity zones only when the cameras are connected to the power? So what is the sense? I got the wire free camera for this option - to make them totally wireless .
So I can’t use the activity zones in my camera?

You can if you purchase a smart subscription. With the subscription, the activity zones are processed in the Arlo cloud. Notifications are reduced, but battery life isn't improved - because the video is streamed to the cloud even when the motion is out of the zone. Then the cloud will drop out-of-zone recordings.
