Just make sure your not holding the sync button on the base ( the most common issue )

I don't hold the base button down. I press it once after the blue light on the camera is blinking and my phone is trying to sync.

Just in case you’re not aware, press the base’s siren ack button first, the camera (right) Led should start blinking. Install the camera battery, then momentarily press the camera sync button at camera top. Camera front Led should blink blue rapidly to sync. Then open the App and proceed with the installation if requested. Hope this helps.
