Lock screen delay vs unlocking phone

I have noticed that with my phone unlocked and me using it, my notifications are decently fast. But if my phone is lock, or has the AOD my notifications may show up, my not. And when I unlock the phone, then I notification. Is this an issue that can be fixed, or a bug?

What phone are you using and have you checked the arlo App setting for notifications options?

I have a galaxy s8. Yes I have. Everything is turned on. Sometimes i get notifications on my lock screen, sometime I have to unlock it, then they'll show up.

Are you using Arlo Smart? I find that a locked phone has significant delay when that's in use. I have taken my front door camera off Smart so I get nearly instantaneous alerts.

ALso, make sure the phone setting for the app's battery optimization is set for NOT optimizing.

Yes, I have all the cameras on smart, and I've noticed the same. Ok, I'll take it off and see how it goes.
