topic Arlo Pro 2 motion detection in Arlo Pro 2

Does the arlo pro 2 improve on the speed at detecting motion? I find with my Arlo and Arlo pro that the cameras do a pretty poor job at getting the object that moved. I have one arlo setup where objects pass horizontally in front of the camera and it only records the last second or so of them in the cameras field of view. The Arlo pro has objects coming towards it at a slight angle and if the person is walking quickly (like when raining) it either misses them entirely or barely catches them in the last second of the video. Both cameras are on battery power.

Use of the outdoor power supply so the P2 uses pixel-based detection may be your solution if you've exhausted the camera positioning suggestions. You'd then also get the 3 second look back feature.
