When i purchased the Pro and then Pro 2 i knew when entering live mode nothing is recorded, so always prefer to leave it down to motion.

However with the addition of an Echo Show which uses live mode, my concern is yes you can see what it going on, BUT major problem it does not record.

Whereas my Ring Pro records everything.

Anyone know if i am missing something, i would ask Arlo to add the feature but they don't give a sh#t.

With the Echo Show, is there the option to manually record like how you can in the Arlo app or web interface?

No the screen (although touch) only shows footage no option to do anything else.

Simplest solution is be like the Ring just record when live.
