topic Pro 2 max voltage, 12vdc input? in Arlo Pro 2

Will the pro 2 model run on 12v dc? What is their max operating voltage? I have 3 cameras in a tree with a 12vdc power supply running into a 5vdc step down converter but the cameras constantly say there is a charging fualt or just randomly drop out. They all are split off the same power source. Should I add 3 diodes to the circuit to isolate the cameras? These cameras are very finiky with any voltage drop.

12v may fry them....

If you look at the battery it is 7.2v ( charges to 8.4 max )...

The USB is 5v only at enough current. And, the cameras are VERY picky as to input voltage.

You on your own out there ! 🙂

See below a link to a previous discussion of powering cameras and the associated pitfalls.

This may help to explain the reason for your issues.

https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo-Pro-2/Wired-power-from-old-26V-AC-system-solved/m-p/1669367#M20998
