You used to be able to set the cameras to send alerts without the siren and now the setting seems to be gone any ideas?

Can you provide a bit more detail regarding this? Are you trying to set an alarm or are you speaking in terms of the notifications?

I am trying to set the alarm without the siren going off when activated.

That senstence doesn't clarify things but I think you want a notification when a recording is made but not the siren, correct? If so, it's all about your modes and rules. You need to edit them and enable whatever notifications you want. By default, the siren does not activate but if you have a rule that does turn the siren on, edit the rule, use the pulldown menu for the siren and choose Remove Device. Save the rule in either case.
