Arlo Pro 2 New SIren Feature

Recently noticed a red circle with a shiled inside with a red !. The only thing I have found was to manually turn the siren on (blaring from the base station) or off. Is this feature new? Is it intended to go off automatically when motion is detected by the camera? I am not understanding the purpose or how to engage it other than manually turning it on or off. I am not finding ant good information about this new icon appearing in my app.

It just allows you to manually activate the siren if needed, Try it - you can't break anything.
