Camera records constantly during daylight hours

I have two Arlo Pro 2 wireless cameras. The one that recrods the south facing backyard records constantly (every minute or so) from late morning to early evening (on clear, bright days). I've swapped out the cameras and get the same result form the camera that records the south face of the yard/house. It appears to me the high light level is triggering the camera. I've played with all the settings but am wondering if anyone has a fix? Thanks.

Positioning is key - eliminate as much of the moving object as possible. Also, try reducing the motion sensitivity in your modes and rules a bit at a time until satisfactory. Read the FAQs here on camera positioning and modes and rules.

I get this a lot on my cameras that face toward the sun. I suspect there is some motion caused by wind and exaggerated by bright sunlight. I have three cameras that are very susceptible to this. I haven’t found a good solution on sunny days other than to disable them for a few hours. It could be that reducing sensitivity would help, of course, but perhaps with trade offs on less sunny days and real activity in the yard.

I wish Arlo would develop a true “Snooze” function that allowed an individual camera to stop recording and sending notifications for a selectable amount of time and then return to normal. This function would also be good for times when service personnel are in the yard. Landscapers for example.
