Arlo Pro 2 Detection Area

Hello,

When I configure a detection area, Software says that If I want to use my camera as wireless, without any Power plugged, Detection area are disabled.

With previous models, we could set this Detection area without any Power adaptator. What are the reasons to disable this ery usefull feature in Battery mode? Is it a bug?

Arlo Smart zones are allowed on battery-only cameras since the zones are sensed by server post-processing, not in the camera. Normal zones must have the camera plugged in.

You are saying it is possible using this feature with the 3€ cost per camera addon or it is possible with the basic suscription?

Hi @nerolave,

For zones to work when on battery, you will need the Arlo Smart feature while for normal zones to be always plugged in, that is with the basic subscription. You can read more about it here: Arlo Smart
