iOS 5.1.1 is ancient. I just tried installing the Arlo app on my 1st generation iPad running iOS 5.1.1 and the Arlo app reported that it needs iOS 10.0 or higher. Nice idea, though. Your can’t use the browser version of the app either because Arlo still uses Flash for video. 5.1.1 is really old so it may be difficult to find any workaround. All I could think of is one of those apps that I believe I’ve seen, which gives you a window into a remotely hosted browser that supports Flash...or a remote control app. But, I’d be surprised if any of those supported 5.1.1 these days. Supporting really old versions of an OS represents a lot of baggage for a design team and with so many Apple users upgrading very quickly after a new version of iOS is released, there isn’t much payback for that investment.

I can’t really find any apps that don’t require a higher version of iOS. No browsers nor Remote Desktop clients.

We we may have iOS photo frames!
