I purchased my Arlo system because I have been robbed by my Daughter , she's a heroin addict who stole my wife and mine wedding bands and other things of little value, I knew it was her but couldn't prove it and that's why we invested in our Arlo Anyway we activated our cameras on day while leaving to go to town ,not 10 minutes away the wife checked in to Arlo viewing the cameras only to witness our daughter shooting up, we want to use video to force her into treatment but because my wife was viewing the video didn't not record and my wife being unfamiliar with the mechanics of Arlo didn't hit record, Is this video gone for good or can you find it be found in the archives somewhere ? I really need help in trying to savey daughtets life. Thank you

Unfortunately, you are correct. When you are live viewing a camera, it does not record without manually hitting the record button. This means that there is no recording.

It would be really good if livestreams were automatically recorded. Hopefully it's in the ideas exchange section and people are upvoting it

Best wishes for you and your family
