topic Arlo Pro 2: Using as a live camera but shows huge delay and jerky in Arlo Pro 2

I have 3 dogs and a large lot. I was told I could use Arlo cameras to check on them to see what they’re into, check fence integrity, etc. As such, I’m not concerned about recording activity for security purposes...I need a live view.

I set up two cameras and the feed seems fine. However, when there is motion in the view, it is hugely delayed (up to a minute) and very jerky...pauses of up to 30 sec. The cameras are about 75 feet from the base unit.

what can I do to improve performance? Are there settings I should be adjusting? Any help appreciated.

Hey @mcdavies,

Try the following listed below to see if this can improve the performance:

Check your camera settings through the app to see the WiFi strength. If it has 2 or less signal strength, it means the signal strength between your Arlo Pro 2 camera and Base Station is not strong enough.

Change the "Recording Settings" through your rules when your camera is recording to be a longer fixed length of time to see if that shows less delay.
