Hi all,

1) When plugged in permanently to AC power, does removing the battery interfere with normal operation of the camera?

2) Does anybody agree that if the answer to (1) is “no,” then removing the battery would be better for the health of the battery long-term and would delay replacement?

Thanks,
David

1) No, there's no interference with camera operation. It's useful as a backup source of power during a power outage as long as you also have a UPS on yourmodem, router and base.

2) There's no degradation of the battery since charging in the camera only goes to a true 80% even though the indication in the app/browser is 100%. This provides the buffer needed to keep from damaging the battery.
