Can I use continuous video features on my camera if I change out the charger?

I have a micro-USB cable embedded in my walls, going from the front door to the "home-run" of all cables from the house. In the home-run it's connected to a detachable charging plug. I am currently using this with a Nest Cam, but am swapping out all of my cameras to Arlo Pro 2's.

If I change out the charger to use a "Quick Charge"-compatible charger (Qualcomm model, whatever it's called) that supports the 9V charging, can I use the continuous video features on the camera...or is the micro-USB cable itself special?

Sorry...that wasn't my intention. This website's auto-suggesting subject feature changed my desired subject to one that had nothing to do with what I was originally posting.
