Outdoor Security Mount (VMA1000)

I bought two outdoor security mounts and installed both today. One is fine. I'm having problems with the other mount.

I loosened the screw to adjust the camera position. After I adjusted the camera i tried to tighten the screw. No matter how tight i make the screw, the camera does not stay locked in position. I tightened the screw as much as i could and it doesn't hold the camera in place.

what do you recommend?

It sounds like there could be an issue with the second mount. Is everything identical to the first? Are there any signs of defect?
