Live stream view often only black and white

Why would there be issues with live stream viewing sometimes only black and white instead of color? We have a three camera system and often, regardless of the time of day, the stream is no longer in color. I am not finding a setting and the system only came with a Quick start manual - just installed last week. System running great other than this seemingly odd situation. Anyone have a solution/suggestion for us? Thank you!

The cameras switch to B&W when the light level drops below a threshold. Thus, an indoor camera with no lights on may be color when the sun is bright but the level may drop below the threshold when a cloud intervenes. Is that what you're seeing?

Thank you grandpawmoses! I will download the manual just in case I may need it for further referrence. Guessing we'll get use to the dimmer viewing as it happens.
