How do I set up local storage backups on a USB device using my Arlo Pro base station?

If I want to hook up a 500MB hard drive to the base station, what make or model HD do you recommend.

AND - If I have an external hard drive connected can I set the Arlo Pro for continous recording as long as there is motion, vs just 2 minutes?

Your drive can be up to 2 TB in Fat32 format...

The power from the USB port is limited, so some HD need external power but ALL have to use a USB cable to attach to the base.

I found a 32gb speed stick is plenty of room for backup. and is easier to use since you cant read directly from the drive anyway while attached.

As to record time , it is what the max is , 2 mins
