Arlo pro cameras

Folks, is Arlo pro series being retired ? I see more of arlo essential camera in home Depot, Walmart but no pros. Bestbuy has steeply discounted pro5s to around 50$. Just trying to decide if I should go with essential or pro series.

They launched the Pro 6 last fall. So it is likely that they are stopping selling the Pro 5.

Similarly for the essentials - normally they do stop making and selling the previous generation when the new one is introduced.

As far as end-of-life goes, the current policy says that won't happen until at least 4 years after manufacturing stops. Which in the case of the Pro 5s likely would have happened at the end of 2025.
