Can't install new Vmc3030

Found brand new vmc 3030 kit with cameras n base. Base is powered on n connected to internet both lights green. I try to add a camera and press sync on base blinks green then on camera blinks slow the fast blue. The base lights up solid green light it’s done but then when I look on my app to see camera it’s not there.

when I follow instructions thru app it says found the base then when try to sync camera everything shows like I previous said but then says can’t find camera

what am I doing wrong

That is some fairly old kit which has reached EOL with Arlo.

Having said that you should still be able to get the camera to sync.

I would reset each camera and then try and sync again.

To reset an Arlo HD camera, press and hold the sync button on the camera for about 15 seconds until the LED blinks amber.

Sorry... but the "hold sync button" doesn't work on that camera... ( also IIRC , the pro/pro2 )

The reset on the Arlo HD camera is to remove the batteries for 10 secs or so and replace.

attempt to sync the camera as you did... the fast blue blink on camera means it should have taken.

Try and use the arlo on the web vs the app.

It may be the SW in the 3000 base might be to old ( not updated properly ) to function....but I would keep trying.

Oops - you are quite right - I even replied to the same question a few years ago as follows.

"I believe that those old cameras can not be reset using the sync button. Remove and refit the batteries, press the sync button to get blue flashing then press the sync button on the base and then you should see the rapid blue flash as it syncs."

I guess some holiday tome brain fade!
