When you want to disarm the cameras, change the mode to standby (with an automation).

If you give details on

how many cameras you have
when you want them on and off

then we can give more tailored advice.

10 Cameras

On 11PM - record video overnight - all cameras
Off 6AM - standby - everything off - we are home for the day
On 8PM - record video and send notifications on perimeter
On 11PM - overnight again

The previous APP allowed me to set schedules by camera - this new version is only Away/Home/Standby

So 8 pm- 11 pm is some cameras, but not all?

You can manage three combinations of cameras.

Arm Away already should arm all cameras
Standby already should disarm all cameras.

So the first step is to configure Arm Home to arm only the perimeter cameras. If a rule for a camera is not included in a mode, then that camera is automatically disarmed when you use that mode.

After you get that set up and tested, post back and we can move on the the schedule automations you need.

Actually that depended on how your cameras were connected. You'd have one schedule for every directly connected camera. But if you used a base station, you'd have one schedule per base.

That said, the lack of custom modes was a big miss on Arlo's part. Also the automations are too complicated (and can't still don't support all the use cases). Inyour specific case, you will need to disable the schedule manually when you go away (and want to keep the cameras armed 24x7)

Than you for this. I tried everything - disengaged and re-set all modes, schedules and automations but it is still not working on the timed schedules. This is so disappointing from a company that was A1 excellent in my books this time last year.

Hey Arlo: Fire the design team that created this new application. Obviously not tested with paying customers (me - 7 years and 10 cameras). Check out the forums and your reviews. Not good.

Please post screenshots of your automations. The guidance I gave you does work, so there must be something not quite right.

Hi Stephen,

Here is what I have: I just want overnight and daytime - no geo fencing needed. On at 11:30PM to ARM everything and off at 5:30AM to go into STANDBY

Screen shots:

1. The Modes I see to begin

2. Arm Away - I have all cameras set to record motion (only)

3. Arm Away camera example - "House facing back gate" Set to record a Video only - no other actions

4. I have only 2 schedules ... Overnight system on @11:30PM and Home system standby (off) at 5:30AM

5. Overnight I want to record a video set to all cameras

6. Daytime - set for 5:30AM then...

7. Changed mode to Standby ...

So you did not follow my advice.

Once again, you have only three modes to work with. If you want geofencing, the "Arm Away" has to be dedicated to when you are actually away. So that means you can only switch between "Arm Home" and "Standby" in your schedule.

In your "Overnight" automation, you telling the system to record videos at 11:30 in your schedule automation. That only makes one recording for each camera at that time. It DOES NOT arm the cameras. You are also telling the system to only make those recording when the system is in "Arm Away" mode. What you need to do instead is switch to either "Arm Home" or "Standby" when the system is NOT in "Arm Away" mode.

Your "Home" mode correctly just changes to "Standby". But you are telling to always switch to "Standby" at 5:30 am, even when you are away.

I suggest deleting all of this, and trying again to follow my advice.

Stephen you rock - success - I have the overnight mode set - on at 11 - off at 5AM. I haven't tried the Geo-fencing for fear I'll mess up the settings. I honestly do not understand why Arlo made this so complex.

genau dieses Problem habe ich auch!

3 Kameras 05.00PM "Abwesenheit aktivieren" ( für jede Kamera einzeln einen Zeitplan eingegeben) funktioniert seit 2 Tagen.

Um 09.00h AM sollen die 3 Kameras sich automatisch wieder ausschalten = Standby..

Habe 1 Zeitplan hierfür eingegeben, mit Eintragen aller 3 Kameras.

Nach 09.00hAM laufen die Kameras immer noch. Nichts ist mit automatischer Abschaltung.

Bitte um schnellstmögliche Hilfe für die korrekte Einstellung des/der Zeitpläne.

What you should have is two schedule automations. One to switch to "Arm Home" at 5 pm, and one to switch to "Standby" at 9 am. Both of these automations should be enabled in "Arm Home" and "Standby", and both should be disabled in "Arm Away".

To arm the cameras 24x7, you just manually switch to "Arm Away" when you leave, and manually switch to either "Arm Home" or "Standby" when you return. Alternatively, you can create Arrive and Leave automations - let me know if you want to do that.

You cannot schedule cameras independently if you have the "Feed" interface. So if you have one automation for each camera, you should delete those automations and use the approach I outlined above.

Hallo StephenB, Können Sie mir bitte helfen für eine 24x7 Automatisierung : über Nacht

3 Kameras einschalten um 17.00h ; diese 3 Kameras ausschalten am nächsten Tag um 09.00h.

Meine Versuchseinstellungen funktionieren nicht, daher habe ich ALLE gelöscht.

Frage dazu: Muss man für jede Kamera einzeln eine Automatisierung erstellen,

oder können alle drei Kameras über eine Automatisierung ein- und ausgeschaltet werden?

Ich kann leider nicht täglich regelmässig "einfach manuell" schalten.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Unterstützung.

What you need to do first is set up the three modes correctly.

Arm Away and Arm Home should arm all three cameras
Standby should disarm all three cameras (meaning that there should be no rules in the standby mode).

The rules section in this article should help you with that setup.

The next step is to set up the schedule automations. As I said above, you need two of these - one that switches to Arm Home mode at night, and one that switches to Standby in the morning. There are NO other actions needed in these automations. They ONLY need to switch the mode. Here are two screen shots that you can use as a guide. The times aren't the same as what you want, but you should match everything else.

Pay particular attention to the enable list - right under the automation name. This needs to be set to "Arm Home, Standby" as shown in the screenshots.

At this point, the schedule will run automatically as long as the system is placed in Arm Home or Standby mode. If you manually put the system in Arm Away, the cameras will be armed 24x7 until you manually change the mode to Arm Home or Standby.

It is also possible to add geofencing, to automatically change the mode to Arm Away when you leave, and to change it back to Standby (or perhaps Arm Home) when you return. Several users have reported problems with the geofencing not triggering when they leave or arrive, so you can't fully depend on the automatic geofencing.

Another factor is that when you return, the automation will switch into a specific mode (and not immediately follow your schedule). For instance, if the arrive automation switches to Standby, then you will need to manually switch to Arm Home if you arrive after 9 pm. If you forget, the cameras would remain disarmed until 9 pm the following evening.

If you want to set up geofencing, you can use these screenshots as a guide:

Again, be careful with the enable lists. "Arrive" needs to be set so it only runs when the system is in "Arm Away" mode. "Leave" can be enabled in all modes.

Hallo Stephen B, weil mein Provider netcologne.de einen Totalausfall hatte, machte ich meiner Basisstation VMB 4000r3 einen RESET.

Anschließend Neuinstallation meiner 3 Kameras: ARLO Pro 3 VMC4040P = 1 Stück // ARLO Pro VMC 4030 = 2 Stück.

Die Neuinstallation von VMC4040P und 1 Stück VMC 4030 Art. NR. 4XH27372AFFB4 waren erfolgreich.

Die zweite VMC4030 Art NR. 4XH27379AD604 lässt sich nicht installieren, da die Basisstation sie nicht erkennt / findet.

Auch nach einem RESET dieser Kamera AD604 erkannte die Basisstation sie NICHT.

Eine Synchronisation Basisstation vs. Kamera zeigt erfolgreich an, blaue LED blinkt schnell.

Ich habe ALLE Möglichkeiten für "Gerät hinzufügen" versucht: Durchsuchen Ultra / Profi / wesentlich / Pro3Flutlicht/ARLO.

Selbst per my.arlo.com/#/lookingArlo/4XH27379AD604/VMC4030 hatte kein Erfolg.

Eine Installation nur über WLAN geht nicht, da ich nicht permanent WLAN eingeschaltet lasse.

Kontakt mit Fritz Box an arlo-Basisstation über Netzwerkkabel RJ45.

Welche Chance habe ich noch "Gerät hinzufügen".... oder ist die Kamera ... AD604 etwa defekt?

Der Akku ist vollgeladen, blaue LED leuchtet konstant bei Stromanschluss.

Hallo, ich habe es gestern noch "auf gut Glück" über die App versucht. Es hat problemlos geklappt.

Die App hat meine zweite VMC4030 sofort erkannt. Zufall??? Oder Problem aus der aktuellen Firmware?
