I know there are a ton of posts on geofencing and several settings that need to be in place for geofencing to work.

I have tried everything and sometimes I get geofencing to work and then after a week or two it stops working again. It’s not the phone settings. It seems the app on a shared user does not background refresh their location although the settings are correct.

I also have a lot of “ghost” devices in the geofencing options and I would like a tech to just delete all of my devices so I can setup fresh. Is that an option? I have no clue why that’s not a user option.

1) Every user should open their app at least once every 2 weeks - more often may be better. I set a calendar notification for my wife to make sure she's not logged out, befuddling geofencing.

2) To remove old devices for geofencing, go to Settings, Data Privacy, Account, Available Geofence Devices and remove what's needed.

Thank you so much! I scoured the Internet on how to remove ghost devices for days and could find nothing. Thanks so much!

We do the same setting alarms to open the app once a week. All the settings are correct. I think a ghost devices was causing the issue as I’ve got it working now.

thanks again.
