Format USB Device for local storage does nothing. Is Seagate incompatible?

On a computer, check for multiple partitions. If there's more than one, remove all and then format as FAT32 (the computer may need a 3rd party program to do this). Of course, it may be an issue of the hard drive and the base - note the warning Arlo provides when setting up local storage about hard drives.

Also, a thumb drive is much easier to work with than a hard drive. a 32-64GB drive will hold an awful lot of videos.
