My base station has died. Need some input on what I should buy to replace and if new cameras are also needed.

FWIW, You must mean a VMB3000.

All bases should support your current cameras (new bases always support all the cameras in the field when released, and you have old cameras).

But you should follow up on @Dannybear's suggest and confirm that it has actually failed.
