How many cameras, and which ones, do you anticipate using? How many may be recording or streaming at the same time?

5-10Mbps upload speed generally is fine but specific circumstances may require higher speeds.

only 3 cameras my internet spds are dwnld 50mbps / upld 11mbps so those speeds should operate my base

Correct. Arlo's guidance on upload speed depends on the camera model (i.e., 2K and 4K require more bandwidth than HD).

They say 3 mbps upload is enough for three Pro cameras.

As @jguerdat says, you can get away with less bandwidth than Arlo's guidance, as long as you don't have too many simultaneous streams.
