I can't change the device name on Arlo Pro 2

Firmware: 1.092.0.29_57_8bc7ce9

I can change the name on both app and web browser, but once i log out it reverts back.

What I tried:

1. Removed batteries

2. Removed the device from the base station and re-added them back in. Before I can type the name, the device already recognized the old name.

3. Removed base station, devices, then re-added them all back in. Same situation. Still can not re-add name.

Seem like this issue occurred before and was resolved. Looks like a regression.

Anyone else having this issue with this firmware?

After renaming are you then clicking on the Save selection?

yes. it looks like it’s being saved too. but once you log out and log back in it reverts back to the old name. as mentioned i tried removing batteries, resyncing..

Try both the app and the web client - maybe one will work.

i tried all that. i’ll just wait until they silently fix the issue. it’s not my first time dealing with arlo.

it seems like it. i also have ultra 2 cameras and no issues there. i do notice that i can not do a live views on the pro 2 camera.

seems like after the base firmware upgrade i can’t view live feeds on my arlo pro 2. any one else see this?

Would you like me to reapply the production firmware to you VMB4000. This may resolve the issues you are experiencing.

I have set your hub to the production firmware. Go ahead and pull the plug and reboot the base station & give everything another go. Let me know how it goes.

same issue. i power cycled and removed and added my camera still can’t go live or change the name. i’ll give it a day and see if something changes. will let you know. thank you!

thanks. i just tried to reset all my Pro 2 cameras and no luck. can’t rename or go live view.
